Nail technique, visible from the back row

A standard practice finger is life-sized, which means only the student holding it can see anything. Mr. Finger is 20 cm tall. Nail bed, sidewalls, the cuticle line and the angle of the e-file read clearly across a full classroom.

The concept for Mr. Finger came from @unique_nails_tm.

Built for teaching, not for a single pair of hands

Most practice fingers are made for one student doing one set. They are the size of a real finger, they take real tips, and they are consumed as they are used. That works for drilling muscle memory. It does not work for demonstrating.

When an instructor explains where the sidewall ends or how steep the bit should sit against the cuticle, the detail they are pointing at is a couple of millimetres across. At the front of the room it is visible. Four rows back it is not.

Mr. Finger scales the whole problem up. The nail plate is large enough to point at, the cuticle area is large enough to work with a demonstration bit, and the before/after cover makes the difference between prepped and unprepped visible from across the room in one motion.

Questions

Are the files sent straight away?

Yes. Every model is sold and delivered through Cults3D, so the download is available the moment the payment clears.

What do I actually receive?

STL files. Nothing is shipped — you print the kit yourself.

Do I need magnets?

Only for the before/after cover. Three pairs of Ø3 mm magnets, 3–4 mm long. They are easy to find and they are not included in the download.

Can I resize it?

Yes — scale the parts in your slicer. The 20 cm default is chosen so the detail reads across a classroom, but nothing depends on that exact size. One caveat: the clearances are tuned for it. Scale down and the fit can come out too tight.

Which licence do I need?

If you are printing for yourself or for your own teaching, the personal licence covers it. If you intend to sell the printed kits, you need the commercial licence.

Can I sell prints under the personal licence?

No. The personal licence covers printing for yourself and using the prints in your own courses. Selling printed copies needs the commercial licence.

Is there a discount for buying both?

They are separate products. The commercial licence includes the same files, so there is no reason to buy both.

Updates?

Buyers re-download from their Cults3D account. Additions to the kit, such as the nail file prop, arrive as free updates.
